Cranial Osteopathy
A gentle, hands-on approach to osteopathic care, adapted to individual needs and comfort.

What Is Cranial Osteopathy?
Cranial osteopathy is a particularly gentle approach within osteopathic practice, using light touch and subtle manual techniques.
Although its name refers to the cranium, or skull, treatment is not necessarily limited to the head. Techniques may also be applied to other areas of the body, depending on your assessment and individual needs.
The approach involves minimal physical force and may appeal to people who prefer a quieter, less physically demanding form of hands-on treatment.
How Does It Work?
Your appointment begins with a consultation and osteopathic assessment, including your medical history, symptoms and any relevant health conditions.
During treatment, I use light, sustained contact rather than stronger mobilisation or manipulation. You remain fully clothed and can discuss your comfort throughout the session.
The techniques are adapted to your age, health and circumstances. As with all osteopathic care, I will first consider whether treatment is appropriate and whether any medical concerns require further investigation.
